George Shi

George Shi serves as the Associate Director of Project Management and Contract Manufacturing at FibroGen, Inc., where responsibilities include designing fixtures for pre-clinical development and sourcing equipment and materials for manufacturing since September 2013. Previously, George held positions as an R&D Engineer at Abbott Vascular, leading weekly project meetings and developing study protocols, and at LifeNet Health, contributing to the design and development of FDA-regulated tissue-based medical implants. George’s career began at Tissue Banks International, where innovations in material research and process development significantly increased product line revenue. George earned an MBA from William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business and holds a BS in Bioengineering from UC San Diego.
