Andy Gonçalves

Andy Gonçalves has a diverse work experience. Andy started their career as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2012. During this time, they taught a programming course and assisted with research.

In 2013, Andy joined SAFIRA/KPMG as a Software Developer, where they worked until 2016.

From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Talkdesk, initially as a Software Engineer, focusing on the backend of the company's main product. Andy then moved up to the role of Associate Engineering Manager, managing a team of 10 people. Finally, they became an Engineering Manager, responsible for two core teams of the product at Talkdesk.

In 2022, Andy joined Fidel API as an Engineering Manager.

Andy Gonçalves has an education history that includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they participated in the ERASMUS program at Technische Universität Dresden, studying Distributed Systems Engineering from 2011 to 2012. Prior to their master's degree, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 2008 to 2011.

Andy also obtained additional certifications, including "IBM WebSphere Message Broker V8.0 Solution Development" from IBM in April 2015, "M101JS: MongoDB for Node.js Developers" from MongoDB in May 2014, and "IBM Certified BPM Application Developer - Business Process Manager Express or Standard Edition V8.0" from IBM in October 2013.
