Elizabeth McKinley

Elizabeth McKinley is a Library Director at the Field Museum since January 2023, where responsibilities include copy and original cataloging of monographs and serials, alongside resolving cataloging-related issues. Prior to this role, Elizabeth served as a Technical Services Librarian at the Chicago History Museum from May 2019 to January 2023, overseeing the acquisition and cataloging of library materials. Earlier experience includes a position as School Librarian at Fenwick High School, where Elizabeth developed the library collection to support the school curriculum and provided research instruction. Additionally, Elizabeth worked at the Newberry Library from May 2012 to July 2015 in various capacities, including Library Services Program Assistant, General Collections Library Assistant, and Special Collections Library Assistant. Elizabeth holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Beloit College.
