Almaz Khatmullin

Almaz Khatmullin has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. In their most recent role at Fieldwood Energy LLC, they serve as the Production Technology & Operations Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Prior to this, Almaz worked at LUKOIL for several years in various positions. Almaz was the Senior Manager in the Production and Maintenance Division at the HQ International Operations Coordination Center. Almaz also served as the Petroleum Lead for Production Optimization and Planning, where they contributed to and led reservoir and production studies, field development planning activities, and modelling projects. Almaz was also a Petroleum Engineer focusing on production optimization, a Production Technologist involved in operations, and a Production/Facilities Engineer at the Y. Korchagina Offshore Platform. Additionally, they held positions as an IOC Superintendent and a Field Facilities Development Engineer, providing technical and project support. Almaz started their career as a Reservoir Engineer Trainee at LUKOIL.

Before joining LUKOIL, Almaz worked briefly at Bashneft as a Workover Supervisor Assistant. This experience provided him with valuable insights into the field.

Almaz Khatmullin has a diverse education history in the field of petroleum engineering and offshore technology. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University).

Subsequently, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the same institution in 2014. During this time, they also completed additional certifications in areas such as offshore drilling, offshore technology and operations, and being an operator of oil and gas production.

In 2013, Almaz Khatmullin attended the University Centre in Svalbard for a brief period to study Arctic Offshore Technology. This experience enhanced their knowledge and understanding in the field.

Later on, in 2016, Almaz enrolled in Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) once again, this time earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Project Management in the Oil & Gas Industry in 2018.

Throughout their educational journey, Almaz also pursued various specialized certifications. Almaz received Integrated Production Modelling training from Petroleum Experts in 2015. In 2012, they completed the Management Centre of Hydrocarbons’ Exploitation course offered by Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Additionally, they obtained certificates in HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) with EBS from RelyOn Nutec (Middle East) in 2021.
