Jonas Sicking

Jonas Sicking is a software engineer at Figma. Jonas previously worked as the FirefoxOS Principal Tech Lead at Mozilla Corporation from November 2005 to August 2016. In this role, they were responsible for designing solutions and setting the technical direction for FirefoxOS, Mozilla’s second largest investment to date.

Sicking has extensive experience in product coordination and technical leadership. Jonas has worked with product teams to create long term and short term product plans, and has turned product requirements into technical requirements. Jonas has also overseen development spanning 15 teams, 100 engineers, and 7 releases. Jonas is well-versed in security architecture and mobile standards development, having designed and overseen the implementation of two iterations of the FirefoxOS security model and worked with companies in the mobile space on standards for enabling web based mobile operating systems.
