Phil Westcott has had a diverse and extensive career. In 2002, they began their career as an English Teacher at Mugeo-dong International Language School. Phil then moved on to become a Media Buyer at OMD Media Direction. In 2003, they joined BAE Systems as an Experimentation Manager for BAE NiteWorks. In 2005, they began working at Airbus as a Partner & Supplier Development. Phil then returned to BAE Systems in 2006 as Deputy Head of Engineering for Transport Systems, Hybrid Product Manager for Power Systems North America, and Head of Business Improvement for IFS Defence. In 2009, they completed a Full-time MBA at IESE Business School and began working as a Fellow for Sainsbury Management Fellows. In 2010, they became a Low Carbon Investment Analyst for Zouk Ventures. In 2011, they joined IBM as Director of IoT Global Practice & Partnerships, European Ecosystem Leader for IBM Watson Group, Public Sector Marketing Leader WW for IBM Watson Group, and Business Development Executive for Smarter Cities SE Asia. In 2017, they became Founder & co-CEO of Filament AI.
Phil Westcott has an extensive education history. Phil began their studies in 1997 at the University of Nottingham, where they earned a BEng in Environmental Engineering in 2000. In 2006, they attended Carnegie Mellon University for an unknown reason. Later that year, they earned an MSc in Systems Engineering Management from University College London, U. of London. In 2009, they attended IESE Business School and earned a Bilingual Master in Business Administration. In 2010, they earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in Venture Entrepreneurship & Capital. Phil is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Nottingham, where they are studying Artificial Intelligence.
