Alan Ransil serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Devonian Systems since May 2024 and holds the position of Sustainability Advisor at the Filecoin Foundation since April 2023. Ransil has been an Advisor for Global Carbon Reward since September 2022 and previously led the Filecoin Green Project and acted as a Power Systems and Data Science Researcher at Protocol Labs until April 2024. From April 2021 to April 2024, Ransil was the Team Lead at Filecoin Green and worked as a Research Affiliate at the MIT Energy Initiative from April 2020 to May 2021. Ransil's extensive involvement with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology spans from September 2010 to May 2020, where academic roles included Postdoctoral Researcher, PhD Candidate, and Masters Candidate. Additionally, Ransil co-founded CoolComposites, Inc. from June 2015 to December 2018, worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at A123 Systems in June 2010, and served as a Research Assistant at Stanford University from June 2008 to June 2010. Ransil earned both a Master’s and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University.
