Avi Hillel

Vice President Operations at Filterlex Medical

Avi Hillel has over twenty years of experience in operations and engineering. Avi began their career in 1997 as a Mechanical Engineer at Schindler Nechushtan Elevators Ltd in Israel. Avi then moved to Omrix Biopharmaceuticals in 1998 as a Mechanical Engineer, where they were responsible for process engineering, instrument calibration, and process and equipment validation. In 2000, Avi joined Boston Scientific as a Mechanical R&D and Production Engineer. Avi then moved to Topspin Medical in 2004 as a Manufacturing Manager, where they managed the assembly line of Topspin MRI catheter in a clean room sterile environment and implemented lean methodology, work instructions, procedures, and controls ISO 13845 compatible. In 2008, Avi became the Director of Production & Customer Care at Cadent Ltd., where they managed the production of iTero Intra-Oral Scanner assembly line and led the Production Continuous Improvement team to a successful ramp up and yield improvements. Avi then joined Align Technology in 2013 as a Senior Manager Production and Material (Operations), where they managed Material Planning, Logistics, and Sales Admin departments and led the PTM team for SAP implementation. In 2021, Avi joined 270Surgical as the Director of Operations and then moved to Filterlex Medical Ltd. in 2022 as the Vice President of Operations.

Avi Hillel obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev between 1993 and 1997. Avi then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Industrial Managment from Bar-Ilan University between 2011 and 2012. Finally, they obtained a Purchasing and Logistics Managment degree in Logistics from Bar-Ilan University between 2013 and 2014.
