Steve Mumford has extensive experience as a VFX artist, with a focus on leading and senior roles. Steve is currently working at Final Strike Games as the Lead VFX Artist since December 2022. Before that, they worked at Blackbird Interactive, Inc from November 2014 to December 2022, where they served as a Senior & Lead VFX Artist. During their time at Blackbird Interactive, they worked on various projects including Crossfire: Legion, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, Minecraft: Legends, and Homeworld 3, utilizing engines such as UE4, UE5, Unity, and proprietary engines. Prior to that, Steve held senior and lead positions at Slant Six Games from March 2007 to April 2013, where they worked on games like Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, SOCOM Confrontation, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3, and Galactic Reign. Steve also worked at Codemasters as a Senior VFX Artist from May 2006 to January 2007, contributing to Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and Race Driver: GRID. Steve's earlier experience includes working at Rockstar Vancouver as a VFX, World & UI Artist from August 2002 to February 2006, where they worked on projects like Bully and a 3rd person military prototype. Steve also worked at Barking Dog Studios as a VFX Artist from April 2001 to August 2002.

Steve Mumford attended The Art Institutes from 2000 to 2001. During their time there, they focused on 3D Art & Animation as well as Classic Art & Drawing. However, it is not specified whether they earned a degree or not.
