Santhosh Kumar

Santhosh Kumar, CPA, CA, MMPA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting positions. Santhosh is currently working as the Senior Vice President Finance at Financeit since June 2023. Prior to this, they held the same position at SNAP Home Finance from January 2021 to June 2023. From January 2021 to June 2023, they also served as the Senior Vice President Finance at Dealnet Capital. Before that, they worked as the VP Finance & Corporate Controller at Dealnet Capital from January 2020 to December 2020.

Santhosh has also gained valuable experience at Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) where they worked as the Manager of Financial Reporting, Corporate Finance from January 2018 to December 2019. In this role, they contributed to building the Corporate Finance function and worked closely with the CFO and other executives. Santhosh also collaborated with investment finance and legal teams on structuring new deals and created scalable processes for preparing audited financial statements.

Prior to IMCO, Santhosh worked at Manulife Investment Management as the Manager of Fund and Asset Management Finance. During this time, they actively managed three real estate funds in the Private Markets group and served as a focal point between the portfolio management team, accounting/operations group, and investors.

Before entering the private sector, Santhosh gained audit and assurance experience at EY. Santhosh worked at EY as a Manager, Assurance Services from 2014 to 2015 and as a Senior Staff Accountant, Assurance Services from 2010 to 2014. In these roles, they managed multiple audit teams, demonstrated strong knowledge of controls, and implemented SOX testing programs for clients listed in the US.

Santhosh started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor from 2006 to 2007.

Santhosh Kumar, CPA, CA, MMPA has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, which was obtained from 2002 to 2006. Santhosh then pursued a Master of Management and Professional Accounting (MMPA) with a specialization in Accounting at the University of Toronto from 2009 to 2011. Santhosh also obtained the CPA, CA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada in 2013. Santhosh is currently a Level II Candidate in the CFA Institute and obtained the CFA Level 1 certification in 2019.
