Tony Massiah

Tony Massiah is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in financial regulation and crime. Currently serving as Ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service since January 2025, Tony issues legally binding decisions on complaints regarding financial institutions under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Prior to this role, Tony was an Associate (Barrister) focused on enforcement and market oversight at the Financial Conduct Authority from January 2024 to January 2025, and held various positions at the Financial Ombudsman Service from November 2015 to January 2024, including Ombudsman and Senior Investigator. Earlier in the career, Tony practiced as a Barrister at Independent Law Practice Professional, specializing in general crime. Education includes a Bar Professional Training Course from BPP Law School and an LLB (Hons) in Law from Middlesex University.
