Johanna Schwartz is an accomplished film director and creative director with extensive experience in documentary and branded content filmmaking. As a founding partner at Soapbox since January 2008, Johanna oversees operations in multiple global studios. Currently, Johanna serves as Creative Director for Alpha Grid, producing and directing films for the Financial Times. Notable works include the feature-length documentary "They Will Have to Kill Us First," which explores the impact of music bans in Mali, and various branded projects for clients such as Target, Sony Playstation, and Star Alliance. With a background in directing and producing for prominent networks like BBC, CNBC, and Channel 4, Johanna's expertise spans from rich documentary storytelling to innovative commercial content. Educational qualifications include degrees from Skidmore College and Goldsmiths, University of London, complemented by training at The London Film School.
