Mats Eklund

Mats Eklund has extensive work experience in IT leadership roles. Mats is currently the Executive Director / CIO at Finansinspektionen, where they are responsible for providing valuable IT services that meet the needs of the organization. Prior to this, Mats served as the CIO at Folkhälsomyndigheten, overseeing the IT function and supporting the use of IT by the agency. Mats also held the role of CIO at Utbildningsförvaltningen, Stockholms stad, where they led digitalization efforts for the city's educational institutions. Before transitioning to leadership roles, Mats worked as a Customer Account Executive at Tieto and as a Business Development Manager at Dimension. Mats began their career at Tieto as a Manager Consultancy and previously worked as a CTO at Försvarsmakten.

Mats Eklund obtained their Master's Degree in Computer Science from Luleå University of Technology from 1989 to 1993.
