About the Role:

The HR Director will be responsible for overseeing the HR department's strategic and operational initiatives in India. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and operational expertise to drive organizational success, manage compliance, enhance employee experience, and ensure alignment with company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire, motivate and manage a small team of employees to achieve organizational objectives and foster a high performance culture
  • Act as a strategic partner and coach to members of the local leadership team to plan develop and implement effective people strategies
  • Promote a results oriented, collaborative and accountable culture
  • In partnership with the Head of HR and Head of Finance, ensure effective budget management within the India team
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and stakeholders to support Findem’s operations in India
  • Remain up to date on employment laws and regulations ensuring that policies, procedures and practices are compliant
  • Responsible for handling employee relations and fostering a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns and resolving conflict
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive and engaging culture by developing initiatives to enhance employee experience
  • Drive programs and practices that support diversity, equity and inclusionDesign and facilitate team building activities and initiatives that enhance employee engagement
  • Monitor and analyze employee engagement metrics and in partnership with leadership identify strategies to address areas of opportunity
  • Ensure effective communication amongst leadership and employees promoting trust and transparency
  • In partnership with the Head of HR, develop talent acquisition strategy and plan for India and applicable business units
  • Evaluate and implement total reward, compensation and benefit strategies to attract and retain top talent
  • Design and implement an onboarding program to ensure new hire success, integration and satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years in a senior HR role, 2+ years in a leadership position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local employment laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships cross functionally
  • Previous global experience strongly preferred
