John Paul

John Paul has an extensive background in intellectual property law, currently serving as President and Board Member of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) since 2014. John Paul is also a Partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, where involvement includes patents, licensing, portfolio management, IP due diligence, transactions, and litigation since 1984. Previously, John Paul was Counsel to the Board and Vice President and Trustee at the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc. from 2007 to 2014, and served as Adjunct Faculty at Catholic University Columbus School of Law from 1999 to 2003, teaching patent law. Early career experience includes working as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO in 1980-1981. John Paul earned a JD in Law from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and an AB in Engineering from Brown University.
