Ninni Mikkonen is a seasoned professional in ecological decision-making with extensive experience in GIS and Zonation software analysis, specifically in biodiversity conservation. Currently serving as the Coordinator in Ecological Decision Making at the Finnish Environment Institute since May 2015, Ninni has previously held various planning and coordinating roles at Metsähallitus Parks and Wildlife Finland, focusing on the implementation of the Forest Biodiversity Programme for Southern Finland (METSO). Ninni's academic background includes a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Helsinki, where significant research contributed to understanding biodiversity in conservation areas.
