Ville Karvinen is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in marine environmental science and policy. Currently serving as the EMODnet Seabed Habitats Coordinator at the Finnish Environment Institute since August 2018, Ville specializes in marine biodiversity and spatial planning. Previous roles include Project Coordinator at HELCOM, contributing to the HASPS II project, and various research positions at the Finnish Environment Institute that focused on Marine Spatial Planning, Marine Protected Areas, and benthic habitat surveys.
