Barbara Wokurka

Barbara Wokurka has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Barbara is currently working at FINVIA as the Head of Impact Investing, a role they began in April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Strategic Business Development & Sustainability at FINVIA from May 2021 to April 2022.

Before joining FINVIA, Barbara held the position of Managing Director, Partner, and Head of International Client Relations at Quoniam Asset Management GmbH from October 2007 to December 2020.

Barbara also worked at FERI Gruppe as a Senior Project Manager from 2006 to October 2007. At Porsche AG, Barbara worked as a Consulting Assistant to CFO from September 1999 to November 2006.

Their career started at Deutsche Bank in 1996, where they held the position of Institutional Client Relationship Manager until September 1999.

Barbara also has experience as the Managing Director of Almaty Bank Training Centre at Vereinigung für Bankberufsbildung e.V, where they established a self-sustaining Bank Training Centre in Almaty, Kazakhstan sponsored by the EU. Barbara provided 150 seminars for 1,800 bankers per year from April 1994 to June 1996.

Furthermore, they worked at Deutsche Bank as a Corporate Client Officer from November 1991 to May 1994 and as a Graduate Trainee from November 1989 to October 1991.

Barbara Wokurka completed their education from 1984 to 1989 at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Barbara obtained a degree in International Business with a specialization in Translator (Diplom-Übersetzerin) of English and French. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Some of these certifications include CSF-Advisor from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in May 2021, SRI Advisor from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht in January 2021, Certified Advisor on Sustainable Investments from ECOreporter.de AG in December 2020, Certified Investor Relations Officer from DIRK e.V. in 2003, Certified Credit Analyst - CCrA from DVFA Deutsche Vereinigung für Finanzanalyse und Asset Management in 2002, and Certified Cash Manager from the Association of Corporate Treasurers, London in 1997.
