Deputy Fire Marshal, Fire Prevention Program Manager at Fiore Industries

Jerry Clark has a diverse and extensive work experience in fire prevention and public safety. Jerry started their career in 1980 as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where they gained experience in fire prevention and emergency response. After leaving the Air Force in 2003, they worked as a Fire Prevention Specialist at the Vacaville Fire Department, conducting inspections and enforcing codes.

In 2006, Jerry joined the City of Fairfield as an Assistant Fire Marshal/Public Information Officer. Jerry was responsible for supervising the fire prevention and public education division and providing technical consultation to fire crews. During their time at the City of Fairfield, they also administered the company-level fire inspection program.

In 2011, Jerry moved to SecTek, Inc, where they served as the Fire Prevention Program Manager until 2015. In this role, they managed the fire prevention program and ensured compliance with regulations and codes.

Since 2015, Jerry has been working at Fiore Industries Inc. as the Deputy Fire Marshal and Fire Prevention Program Manager. Their responsibilities include serving as a technical consultant, identifying fire and life safety issues, and developing corrective actions to mitigate hazards. Jerry also interprets and applies NASA, State, and Federal regulations and codes.

Throughout their career, Jerry has demonstrated their expertise in fire prevention, code enforcement, and leadership in various roles, including Assistant Fire Chief, Operations, and Fire Prevention; Deputy Fire Chief at the Travis AFB Fire Department. Jerry planned, organized, and directed fire protection activities and analyzed operations to formulate corrective measures.

Jerry Clark has a diverse education history. Jerry started their education at Morro Bay High School and graduated with a diploma in General Studies in 1980. After high school, they attended the University of Maryland from 1982 to 1984, where they pursued General Studies.

In 1984, Jerry enrolled in the Community College of the Air Force, where they studied Fire Science and obtained an Associate's degree. Jerry continued their education at American River College from 2005 to 2008, specializing in Fire Protection and earning credit but no degree.

Jerry then attended Solano Community College from 2009 to 2010, studying General Studies without achieving a degree. Finally, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Fire Management at Columbia Southern University from 2011 to 2012.

Alongside their formal education, Jerry obtained several certifications in various fields. These certifications include Interior Finish Firestopping from Specified Technologies, Inc. - STI Firestop in June 2020, Fire Investigator II and Inspector III from California State Fire Training in July 2016, and PC832 Arrest, Search and Seizure from Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) in August 2004.

Furthermore, they received certifications such as Fire Inspector II, Hazardous Materials Incident Commander Train-the-Trainer, and Hazardous Materials Technician Train-the-Trainer, all from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress between 2000 and 2002.

Notably, Jerry is also a Certified Fire Plan Examiner (NFPA 1031) accredited by The Pro Board since June 2017 and has achieved an ICC Inspector II certification from the International Code Council in March 2014.
