Joshua Bleisch

Staff Attorney, Faculty Legal Defense Fund at FIRE

Joshua Bleisch has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Lifeguard at the Wellington Northeast Neighborhood Association from 2010 to 2013. Joshua then interned at the Indiana Democratic Party in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Summer Student at Eli Lilly and Company and also served as a Writing Center Tutor at Wabash College. Joshua interned at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a Speechwriting Intern in 2015. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Legal Intern at the ACLU of Indiana. In 2018, they worked as a Law Clerk at the Office of the Indiana Attorney General. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Law Fellow at the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Currently, they hold the position of Faculty Legal Defense Fund Fellow at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, and from October 2022 onwards, they will be working as a Staff Attorney for the same organization.

Joshua Bleisch completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at Wabash College from 2012 to 2016. Joshua then pursued their Doctor of Law degree (JD) at Indiana University Maurer School of Law from 2016 to 2019.
