Katherine Shirrell

Kat Shirrell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kat is currently the Vice President of Business Operations at Fireblocks since March 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Business Operations at Fireblocks from August 2021 to March 2022. Kat worked as a Consultant in the Digital Practice at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from 2020 to 2021. From 2019 to 2020, they were the Head of Operations and Business Development at Droplette. Kat also served as the Head of Global Operations - Security Services at Cybereason from 2017 to 2019. Before that, they were the Founder and CEO of Unico Consulting from 2015 to 2017. Kat worked as the Director of University Advising Department and IB Chemistry Teacher at the American School of Bilbao from 2014 to 2016. Lastly, they worked as a Research Technician in Nanomaterials at Duke University from 2012 to 2013.

Kat Shirrell has a diverse education history. Kat holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, General from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to their MBA, they obtained a Professional Educator's License from Duke University, focusing on Education. Kat also completed their undergraduate studies at Duke, earning a Bachelor's degree with a double major in Chemistry (BA) and Spanish (BA). In addition to their degrees, Kat Shirrell has obtained certifications such as a GMAT score of 770 (99th percentile) from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and a Secondary Science Teaching Certification/Licensure from Duke University.
