Julia Baez Valentin

Julia Baez Valentin has a diverse work experience history. Julia started their career as a Summer Intern at the United States Attorneys' Offices in 2017, followed by a role as a Judicial Intern at the New York Court of Appeals. In 2018, Julia held various positions, including being an Enterprise Partnerships Intern at Mastercard, a Scholar at the HNBA x Microsoft Intellectual Property Law Institute, a Research Assistant at Fordham University School of Law, and a Founding Vice President at the Fordham Information Law Society.

In 2019, Julia joined Republic as a Legal Intern and later moved on to BrainPOP, where they worked as a Law Clerk and then as a Legal Operations and Contracts Specialist. Julia then joined GWI in 2021 as a Contracts Manager.

Currently, Julia is working at Fireblocks, where they have held leadership positions including Head of Legal Operations & Strategy and currently serves as Director of Legal Operations & Strategy.

Julia Baez Valentin has a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies and Economics from Wesleyan University. Additionally, they have earned several certifications, including GDPR Compliance: Essential Training from LinkedIn in October 2021, Inclusive Mindset from LinkedIn in October 2021, and Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in April 2019.
