David Cahill, CPA, MBA has a diverse work experience in finance, corporate development, transaction services, audit, and advisory roles. Currently, they hold the position of Finance and Corporate Development Director at Firelands Scientific. Previously, they worked at Cohen & Company where they held multiple roles including Manager of Transaction Services, Senior Associate of Transaction Services, and Senior Audit Associate of Private Company Services. At Cohen & Company, they provided due diligence support for financial sponsors, analyzed key deal issues affecting enterprise value, and developed financial models. David also provided attest services to various industries and helped clients create value through process improvement and internal control development. Prior to that, they were a MBA Program Advisor/Graduate Assistant at the University of Dayton, where they advised students and promoted the MBA program. David also served as a Peer Advisor, assisting first-year students with their transition to college life. David began their career as an intern at Cohen & Company.

David Cahill, CPA, MBA completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Accounting Concentration from the University of Dayton in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the same university in 2012. David completed their high school education at Lake Catholic High School from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications. David became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2014. David also completed various courses and certifications on LinkedIn, including Excel for Accountants, Excel for Corporate Finance Professionals, Financial Forecasting with Big Data, Building Accountability into Your Culture, and Time Management for Managers. These certifications were obtained in different months and years, with the most recent certification being completed in April 2020.
