Sylvain Etter

Sylvain Etter is an accomplished professional with extensive expertise in toxicology and product safety spanning over 20 years. Currently serving as Director Global RA Toxicology and Toxicology Lead for Taste, Texture & Health at dsm-firmenich, Sylvain has taken a leading role in managing a dedicated team of toxicologists to navigate safety and regulatory challenges in the flavoring and fragrance industries. Sylvain's tenure at Firmenich includes significant positions such as Director of Toxicology, where proactive collaboration with various divisions ensured successful innovation and compliance. With a robust academic background, holding a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from EPFL and experience as a Research Scientist, Sylvain has developed assays for odorant receptor characterization and contributed to the training of students.
