Stephen Meli

Stephen Meli is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions. Currently serving as Senior Underwriting Counsel at First American Title since January 2022, Meli brings a strong background from Stewart Title, where tenure included roles as Assistant Vice President for both Associate Senior Underwriting Counsel and Underwriting Counsel in Commercial Services from December 2014 to December 2021. Meli is adept in underwriting complex transactions across Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, and has responsibilities that include the review of draw requests and lien waivers for construction loans.
