Sphri Mary Anderson

Mary Anderson, SPHRi has a strong background in human resources, with over 15 years of experience. MARY currently serves as the Head of Human Resources at First Atlantic Bank Ghana, a position they have held since June 2019. Prior to this role, Mary worked at Universal Merchant Bank for 14 years, starting as a Senior Banking Officer Corporate Development before transitioning to various senior roles in human resources. At Universal Merchant Bank, they were responsible for leading the HR function, including HR planning, recruitment, operations, employee relations, and learning and development. MARY also managed the HR database and records system, coordinated with unit heads on people issues, and supported the Corporate Development Team with HR issues. Before joining Universal Merchant Bank, Mary worked at Standard Chartered Bank as a Human Resource Relationship Manager, where they were involved in recruitment, orientation/induction programs, and maintaining organizational charts. Mary's experience demonstrates their expertise in managing various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, and learning and development.

Mary Anderson, SPHRi, has a comprehensive education background that has provided their with a strong foundation in Human Resource Management. MARY began their educational journey in 1996 at the University of Cape Coast, where they attained their Bachelor's Degree in B.A Secretaryship in the year 2000. Building upon this accomplishment, they pursued further studies at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2001 to 2003, earning a Master's Degree in MSc Human Resource Management. Mary continued to enhance their expertise in the field by acquiring a Professional Certification in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners in 2007. This educational trajectory demonstrates Mary's commitment to continuously improving their knowledge and skills in Human Resource Management throughout their career.
