At a very young age, she was taught that compassion and empathy were the most sought virtues and characteristics that a person should embody. Throughout her life, it was ingrained in her to help people, specifically people who weren’t able to advocate for themselves.
She had always known that she wanted to help people as a career. She received a Psychology degree from Seattle University where she strengthened her understanding about the human condition. During her education, she volunteered at Childhaven which is a non-profit daycare that specializes in working with children with behavioral issues who come from abusive and neglected homes. During her time at Childhaven, she aided psychologists and social workers in creating a structured learning environment that would enhance the children’s early developmental skills. She assisted in assess and redirect a child’s mental to assess a child’s mental, physical, developmental, and behavioral status and engage in accordance to what the child needs.
