About the Role

First Circle’s Finance team are hiring a Finance Associate who will be reporting to our Finance Manager and have daily exposure to our Managing Director.

Unlike most traditional finance teams, this role will not be pigeon holed into a particular area for a long period of time. Successful candidates will have broad exposure to the full finance function, and gradually develop across all of our core processes - Financial Reporting, Treasury, Taxes, and FP&A. As they grow, they will have the opportunity to specialize in favored areas, and intially, this role will be looking at taxes and compliance.

If you have a passion for finance, with around 1-2 years of professional experience in the field, and a desire to break free of the traditional corporate ladder and work in an environment that can accelerate your development whilst you make a real impact on society in the Philippines, then this is the role for you. Attitude matters to us more than experience, as long as you come with a solid baseline and motivation to better yourself each day.

Characteristics of a great candidate

Technically, you are at this level:

• Knowledge of BIR, BSP, SEC and related compliance is preferred but not essential
• Under 2 years of working experience in no more than 2 roles absolutely necessary. We want you to have a good baseline, but we don’t want you to have moved between roles constantly or be a subject matter expert
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or any other relevant area, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not necessarily needed. Having a baseline grasp of accounting standards is fine.
