Dana Hamilton

Dana Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dana'smost recent role was as the VP, Mortgage Operations Administrator at First Federal Bank NC, where they were responsible for establishing and maintaining vendor and investor relationships, risk grading residential mortgage loans, coordinating audits, creating marketing materials, and managing a large construction to perm portfolio. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the North Carolina Trucking Association, where they promoted and educated the trucking industry, created a new logo and website, coordinated industry events, and served as a liaison between industry leaders and legislators. Dana also has extensive experience in the banking industry, having worked as the SVP/Marketing Director/Certified Financial Marketing Professional at Select Bank & Trust Company, where they oversaw marketing, branding, and public relations activities. Previous to that, they were the Marketing Director at the Dunn Area Tourism Authority, where they were responsible for promoting travel and tourism in Dunn, NC and Harnett County, and developed various tourism materials. Prior to their roles in marketing, they worked as a Government/Business Reporter/Editor at The Daily Record Publishing Company, where they covered local government and built connections between the public and government officials.

Dana Hamilton attended Bob Jones University from 1988 to 1992, studying Accounting. In 2007, they enrolled at the ABA School of Bank Marketing and Management, where they focused on Marketing Research, Strategic Planning, Management, Branding, and Budgeting until 2009. Dana obtained the CFMP (Certified Financial Marketing Professional) degree from The Institute of Certified Bankers, completing their studies in 2017. Additionally, Dana received the Path to Diversity Scholarship from the Mortgage Bankers Association, although the year of obtaining this certification is unknown. From 2015 to 2018, they attended the School of Banking, North Carolina Bankers Association, without a specified degree or field of study.
