Mark Waddleton

VP Corporate Development at First Genesis

Mark Waddleton is the current VP Corporate Development at First Genesis. Mark has over 25 years of experience in various leadership roles in supply chain management, artificial intelligence, and software-as-a-service.

Most recently, Mark was the Vice President of Supply Chain at Warm Commerce from January 2017 to December 2019. In this role, they led efforts in building a Salesforce-enabled, cloud-based, artificial intelligence driven supply chain software-as-a-service company changing the supplier intelligence and discovery process. Mark also developed core capabilities and product roadmap strategy that defined how best to create, deliver and capture value.

Prior to Warm Commerce, Mark was the President of ISM-Houston from January 2016 to December 2016. ISM-Houston is the largest chapter in the world out of 50,000 global members with a 55 member board of directors and 1200+ membership-base industry association focused on advancing the practice of supply chain management, driving value within organizations, and creating sustainable competitive advantage.

From 2011 to 2012, Mark served as the Director of North & South America for AkzoNobel Marine & Protective Coatings. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing the business strategy for both regions while also overseeing all aspects of sales, marketing, operations, and business development.

Mark began their career in investment banking and spent 10 years working their way up the corporate ladder at National City Bank (now PNC Financial Services). Mark started as a Vice President in 2007 and was promoted to Director just one year later.

Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Mark Waddleton completed a MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mark also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Prairie View A&M University. In addition, they have a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Mark is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana and Missouri.

They are on a team with Stuart R. Smith - Director of Business Development, Susan Wilkinson - Vice President Marketing. and Director of Product Management - DPM reports to Mark Waddleton. Their manager is Joseph Chirco, EVP.
