The FIRST® in Texas Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports FIRST® Robotics teams and events across Texas with a focus on increasing accessibility for low-income and underrepresented students. FIRST® participants are significantly more likely to attend college, major in science or engineering, and be outstanding future employees and citizens. By investing in Texas students’ participation in FIRST®, we address the growing demands of the STEM workforce.

WHO WE ARE

With guidance and oversight provided by the FIRST® in Texas Board, we disperse hundreds of thousands of dollars in team grants each year. FIRST® in Texas works closely with FIRST®, which inspires young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

The Project and Operations Management team at FIRST in Texas is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various initiatives and events that support FIRST® Robotics teams across the state. This team ensures seamless operations and maximizes the impact of the program by managing resources, schedules, and logistics. They also play a critical role in coordinating with mentors, participants, and stakeholders to foster an inclusive and productive environment that aligns with the foundation's mission of increasing accessibility for underrepresented and low-income students.
