Sumit S. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2007 at EY, they worked as a Manager in M&A Transaction Advisory Services and Financial Services Risk Management and Performance Improvement Advisory. Sumit then moved to Morgan Stanley, where they held the positions of Equity Analyst for REITs and Midcap banks. In 2017, they joined VR INVESTMENTS as an Investment Professional, focusing on real estate. After that, they worked at Berenberg Capital Markets as the Head of US e-commerce and retail equity research. Sumit then went on to work at Scotiabank as a Senior Equity Analyst for US Housing and Logistics REITs. Subsequently, they served as Vice President of Business Development at Paramount Group. In 2019, they became a Strategic Advisor at GradRight Inc., assisting them in financial services, student lending, and underwriting. Sumit also served as an Advisor at Rhombus Power Inc., bringing their artificial intelligence/machine learning platform to the financial services and real estate industries. Sumit'smost recent role is Head of Sustainability, Research, & Analytics at First Industrial Realty Trust, where they focus on research, ESG, sustainability, and technology, utilizing data analytics and AI.

Sumit S. completed an MBA degree from Columbia Business School, specializing in corporate finance, accounting, and economics, from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Btech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, from 1996 to 2000.
