Debra Lummas has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Debra started their career in 1991 at MAGS LASER/Printworks, where they quickly advanced through various positions, gaining skills in bookkeeping, wages clerking, and purchase and sales ledgers. Debra then worked at EXCEL Print Services as a PA and Sales Administrator, responsible for managing client and supplier schedules, processing orders, and maintaining accounts. From there, they moved on to Menswear Brands Ltd as a Sales Administrator, handling tasks such as liaising with customers, market research, and production scheduling.
In 1998, Lummas joined the recruitment industry with Roevin, initially as a Regional Manager and later as a Regional Branch Manager. Debra excelled at managing teams, implementing training programs, and achieving company targets. Seeking a new challenge, Lummas relocated to Vancouver in 2008 and set up a new branch for the Canadian operations of Roevin. After a brief period with The Fifth Option Consulting Inc. as a Recruitment Manager/HR Specialist, they joined Swim Recruiting in 2011, where they served as a Business Development Executive and later as a Senior Account Executive, specializing in engineering recruitment.
Lummas's passion for mentoring and facilitating training led their to assume roles in learning and development. At First Nations Health Authority, they held positions such as HR Advisor, HR Talent Acquisition Lead, and HR Senior Specialist, Talent Development. In these roles, they focused on strategic planning, project management, and facilitating training sessions for orientation, team building, and change management. Debra also had project management responsibilities for employee engagement surveys, succession planning, and performance partnerships. Lummas currently serves as the Director of Learning and Development at the First Nations Health Authority, leveraging their expertise to enhance the organization's talent development initiatives.
Debra Lummas completed their education at an unspecified School/College, where they obtained 2 A'Levels and 5 O'Levels.
