Cotina Brown

Cotina Brown is an experienced professional in the fields of program coordination and child welfare, currently serving as a Program Coordinator at First Place for Youth since October 2021. Prior to this role, Cotina worked as the Director of Training at Hands of Mercy Everywhere from November 2020 to November 2021, and as a Residential Manager at Methodist Children's Homes of Mississippi from February 2019 to August 2020. Cotina's extensive background in child protection includes nearly 12 years at the Florida Department of Children and Families, where roles included Child Protection Investigation Supervisor and Child Protective Investigator. Cotina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Valdosta State University, completed in December 2004, and has furthered leadership skills through the Central Region Leadership Academy.
