James McDonald

James McDonald is an experienced RF Engineer with a strong background in antenna design and electromagnetic modeling. Currently employed at FIRST RF Corporation since June 2004, James specializes in designing, building, and testing antennas while utilizing advanced electromagnetic solvers such as HFSS, CST, and FEKO. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Electrical Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where systems for RF test measurements were updated and maintained, and as a Member of Technical Staff Level 3 at Boeing Satellite Systems, focusing on software systems for RF test measurements and tuning amplifiers. James began a career in engineering as a Design Intern at AJ Design Group. Academic credentials include a PhD and MS in Electromagnetics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
