Dr.-Ing. Michael Bauer

Dr.-Ing. Michael Bauer has an extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. Dr.-Ing. Michael currently serves as the Head of R&D Operations Center at First Solar, a position they have held since March 2023. Previously, they worked at CTF Solar GmbH as the COO from September 2020 to February 2023, and as the CTO from March 2020 to August 2020. Prior to that, Dr.-Ing. Michael Bauer held the roles of CTO and COO at TS Solar GmbH from November 2008 to February 2020. Dr.-Ing. Michael also worked at Q CELLS as the Director of Process Development from April 2006 to November 2008. Before entering the renewable energy sector, they gained experience at McKinsey & Company Deutschland as a Practice Specialist from April 2004 to April 2006, and at Bayer Crop Science as Manager Technology from April 2001 to March 2004.
