Elie David Villeda Orozco

Elie David Villeda Orozco has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on business development and sales. Elie David began their career at the Department for International Trade, where they worked as a Business Development Manager in the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors. Elie David then moved on to Emergya Wind Technologies B.V., where they held roles as the Head of Business Development and Sales in Mexico, as well as a Business Development Manager. Elie also served as an Advisory Board Member for The Pale Blue Dot, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing solar energy to off-grid rural communities. Elie David later joined Grupo REFORMA as an Editorial Board Member and, most recently, they have been working at First Solar in various roles, including Regional Manager for LATAM North and Head of Latin America & Senior Manager of US Business Development. Elie has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the energy industry throughout their career.

Elie David Villeda Orozco has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which was completed between 2006 and 2011. In 2014, they obtained a certification in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Following that, from 2015 to 2016, Elie pursued a Double Master's degree in Sustainability, Corporate Environmental Management, and Environmental Governance from Monash University. Elie David further enhanced their knowledge in the field of Climate and Renewable Energy Finance by completing a Certified Expert program at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management between 2016 and 2017.
