Matthew Sheppard

Matthew Sheppard has extensive work experience in finance and internal audit. Matthew currently holds the position of Head of Internal Audit at First Solar, where they started in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Franklin Electric for over 15 years in various roles, including Director, Finance-Global Product Supply and Director of Internal Audit. Matthew also has experience as an Internal Auditor at Superior Essex and Coachmen.

Matthew Sheppard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1993. Matthew then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Indiana University Northwest from 2003 to 2005. In addition, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2007.
