Hamid Cruz

Hamid Cruz is a dedicated student with a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship. Currently enrolled at Columbia University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Hamid previously completed a high school diploma in Computer Engineering at Bronx Engineering And Technology Academy. Hamid has participated in various programs, including First Tech Fund, where engagement with industry professionals from prominent companies like Pinterest, AirBnB, and TikTok occurred. At BUILD, Hamid focused on entrepreneurship, successfully developing a product called "The RoundCable," which minimizes headphone wire tangling, and presented this at sales events, including Madison Square Garden. Additionally, through the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY, Hamid gained knowledge about engineering practices in civil, electrical, and mechanical fields.
