Van Swift has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Van currently serves as the President & CEO of First Texas Bank, where they oversee all aspects of the community bank with approximately $950 million in total assets. Prior to this role, Van held the position of Chief Risk Officer & Senior Executive Vice President at SouthStar Bank ssb, where they focused on commercial real estate lending and successfully built a substantial loan portfolio. Van also worked as a Senior Lending Officer at La Grange State Bank and started their career as a Commissioned Bank Examiner at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Van Swift attended Texas State University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. After that, from 1993 to 1996, they attended Southern Methodist University's Southwestern Graduate School of Banking and obtained a Diploma.
