Jim Doherty

Jim Doherty is an experienced financial professional currently serving as a Financial Wholesaler and ETF & SMA Specialist at First Trust since October 2019. In this role, Jim collaborates with a six-member team in Southern California to support financial advisors and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) through portfolio development and educational initiatives. Prior to this, Jim held various positions including Lead Server at Sunda New Asian, where Jim excelled in training staff and achieving high sales performance, and Training General Manager at LA Fitness, where Jim successfully managed sales teams and improved sales metrics. Jim began their career as an Accountant at Desmond & Ahern, Ltd., focusing on tax returns and audits. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Saint Xavier University.
