Antonia E. Smith

Antonia E. Smith, FRM®, CAMS®, is an accomplished Risk Manager at First West Credit Union since June 2022, where key responsibilities include conducting Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) assessments and developing risk management frameworks to ensure compliance with OSFI's requirements. Prior to this role, Antonia served as Co-Chair of the Black Employee Network at Fidelity Canada and held the position of Senior Risk Specialist, focusing on identifying risk exposures and enhancing control processes. Antonia's experience also includes serving as Risk and Compliance Manager at Cumax Wealth Management Limited, where efficient risk management frameworks were developed, and Assistant Manager of Market and Credit Risk at The Jamaica National Group, contributing to risk analytics and model development. Antonia holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from The University of the West Indies, complemented by participation in the Emerging Leaders Program at Minerva BC in late 2023.
