Dave Currens

Dave Currens has extensive experience in the financial and banking industry. Dave has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a Commercial Relationship Manager at Community First National Bank in 1999. Dave then moved on to Bank of the West as a Sr. Credit Officer/Commercial Relationship Manager. In 2006, they joined Minnwest Bank as a Vice-President and Commercial Loan Officer. In 2008, they became the Vice-President of Financial Services at MAG Wealth Management. Dave's leadership skills were evident when they became the President of State Bank in Eden Valley in 2009 and later the President of Farmers & Merchants State Bank, MN in 2016. Dave also served as the Eden Valley Economic Development Authority (EDA) President from 2010 to 2020. Recently, Dave has worked as a Market President at both BlackRidgeBANK and First Western Bank & Trust, where they currently hold the position. Prior to their career in banking, Dave served in the Army National Guard as a Sergent First Class in the 1st Battalion 151st Field Artillery (1-151FA), retiring in 2002.

Dave Currens obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
