Sue Cambage-Hughes has extensive work experience in the field of customer insights and research. Sue started their career as a Research Adviser at KPMG Peat Marwick in 1991 and later worked as a Research Manager at Co-operative Insurance Society from 1992 to 2001. Sue then joined Co-operative Financial Services as a Research Manager, where they provided input and recommendations to shape strategy through qualitative and quantitative research. Sue worked at The Co-operative Group as a Consumer Insight Lead for their Food division from 2012 to 2015, managing a team of insight specialists and delivering strategic and tactical customer insight.

Sue later served as the Head of Insight at the National Union of Students (UK) from 2015 to 2017 and then joined CGA, a data consultancy, research, and insights company, as the Head of Consumer Research from 2017 to 2020. At CGA, they led consumer research initiatives. Sue then worked at PHOENIX group as the Head of Insight and Customer Proposition in 2020, where they led a team of marketing specialists in insight, proposition, and digital development. Currently, they are working at Greene King as a Strategic Insights professional. Sue also worked briefly at Studio Retail Limited as a Customer and Market Insight Lead and is currently serving as the Customer Experience and Insights Lead at FirstGroup plc. Throughout their career, Sue has demonstrated expertise in team management, stakeholder relationship management, budget management, and supplier management to drive customer-focused initiatives.

Sue Cambage-Hughes attended De Montfort University from 1987 to 1991, earning a BA Hons degree in Business Studies with a focus on Marketing.
