Doug Sandberg

Doug Sandberg is Vice President, General Counsel for FirstView Financial, providing thoughtful and measured legal counsel throughout the organization. Doug draws on his vast legal experience as a private corporate and commercial litigation attorney and as in-house counsel within the complex payments industry to enable the vital innovation FirstView Financial needs to meet the ever-changing needs of patient affordability programs.

Having witnessed first-hand, the evolution of the payments industry throughout his career, Doug brings a unique point of view to FirstView Financial; especially with respect to the vast and complex challenges facing heavily regulated sectors.

Doug has over 30 years of experience leading legal and compliance teams in both the banking and corporate sectors. His tenure within the payments industry includes senior leadership roles at Worldpay (a global payments solutions provider), Citizen’s Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland Group, and Lynk Systems (now Worldpay/FIS).

Doug earned a BA in Politics, English, and Philosophy from Ithaca College and a Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law.
