Winston Mo

Winston Mo has a strong background in product management and engineering. Winston is currently working as a Lead Product Manager for Glassdoor, specializing in machine learning for community engagement and personalization. Prior to this, they held the same role at Fishbowl, a social network connecting professionals for candid conversations. Notably, Fishbowl was acquired by Recruit Holdings during this period. Winston also has experience as a Software Engineer at Kaitongo and as a Manager of Product Management at Procter & Gamble. Additionally, they are the Founder and President of SlingPenguin Solutions Inc., a B2B drone remote sensing company. Winston's earlier career includes roles as an Officer of the Board and Head of Property Management at DU Toronto House Company, a Venture Partner in Engineering at NuPro Prospecting Joint Venture, and Co-Founder and Head of Product at Re-invent Realty, a real estate-oriented B2B digital marketing company. Winston began their career as an Engineer-in-Training in structural engineering at Hatch, where they worked on various projects including the Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal 2 expansion and the Ontario 401 Highway's Windsor Essex Parkway expansion.

Winston Mo has a strong education background in the field of Computer Science. Winston obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science with a Minor in Business Administration & Strategy from the University of Toronto in 2014. Additionally, they pursued an Engineer's Degree from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in the same year.

In terms of certifications, Winston has obtained several additional certifications to enhance their skill set. In April 2014, they completed the Engineering Entrepreneurship certification from the University of Toronto. Winston also obtained the HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot in May 2019. In January 2020, they completed the Git Essential Training: The Basics certification from LinkedIn. Furthermore, Winston holds the Canadian Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC) from Transport Canada - Transports Canada, which they obtained in April 2016. Winston also obtained the Proficiency in Radio: Restricted Operator (Aeronautical) certification from Industry Canada / Industrie Canada in March 2015, as well as the Civil and Commercial UAS Operations certification from the Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems in March 2015.
