Nikki Kahn is an experienced intellectual property professional currently serving as the Head of Intellectual Property at Fisher & Paykel Technologies since November 2020, overseeing IP operations across New Zealand and China. Previously, Nikki held the position of Senior Associate in Patent Litigation at DLA Piper, focusing on patent infringement and validity assessments, as well as advising on IP portfolio strategies. Nikki also served as IP Manager & In House Counsel at ZURU Toy Company, managing a comprehensive international IP portfolio, and worked as a Patent Attorney at AJ Park Intellectual Property, providing expertise in IP capture, prosecution, and infringement risk management. Earlier career experience includes working as a Projects Engineer at Flotech, where design-and-build projects for biogas upgrade systems were managed. Nikki holds a BE(hons)/LLB in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Technology in Product Development from Massey University.
