Karen MacGillivary

Karen MacGillivary is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in the field. Working at Fitchburg Public Schools since August 2018, MacGillivary has previously held similar positions at Shore Educational Collaborative and Maynard Public Schools, where responsibilities included designing and implementing lesson plans and adapting them to meet diverse student needs. Prior experience includes serving as an Applied Behavior Analyst and a Unit Coordinator at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, where organizational and communicative skills were honed. MacGillivary also volunteered in patient education at Massachusetts General Hospital and provided childcare at The Thoreau Club. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Moderate Disabilities from American International College and a Bachelor's Degree in Community Health and Wellness from Curry College.
