James Guthrie

James Guthrie is a dedicated veterinary professional with extensive experience in orthopaedic and neurosurgery at Fitzpatrick Referrals Ltd since June 2013. Currently serving as a Veterinary Orthopaedic & Neurosurgeon, James has also held roles as an ACVSMR Canine Sports Medicine Resident, ECVS Surgery Resident, and Surgical Intern. In addition, James is a member of the ECVSMR Examination Committee and serves as Education Co-Chair for the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association. As a Visiting Lecturer and Clinical Instruction Mentor at the University of Surrey since March 2019, James contributes to the education of future veterinary professionals. Previous experience includes work as a Veterinary Surgeon at Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital and as a Veterinary Intern at Northwest Surgeons. James Guthrie earned a BVM&S degree in Veterinary Medicine from The University of Edinburgh, completing studies in 2010.
