Chief Merchandising Officer at Five Below

Michael F. Romanko is the current Chief Merchandising Officer at Five Below. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Merchandising at Fortunoff from June 2007 to February 2009, and before that, the Vice President of PD/Merchandising at Lenox from January 2006 to December 2007.

At Fortunoff, Michael was responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the 100 million dollar retail business, including strategic visioning for the division, product development, and enforcing the importance of a strong product mix to the team. Michael was also responsible for ensuring a compelling customer experience while delivering sales and profit goals.

At Lenox, Michael launched a new retail concept called "all the hoopla" from inception to completion, including design, merchandise assortment, and branding. In 2006, they received an award for new store design in the area of hard lines in specialty chain for this new store concept. Michael was also responsible for product development for flatware/metals, home decor, jewelry, figurines, and statuary, as well as merchandising for the entire retail channel.

Michael F. Romanko holds a BA in liberal arts from The College of New Jersey.

Michael F. Romanko reports to Joel D. Anderson, President & CEO. They are on a team with Kenneth R. Bull - Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, George S. Hill - Chief Retail Officer, and Judy L. Werthauser - Chief Experience Officer (CXO).
